Enric Godes lying on an empty road in the fog
New York, November 2007

It started as a joke

It was November 2007 and I was in NY with my business partner. My friend came up with the idea of taking pictures laying down on the floor, which sounded like a great idea to me.

Since then, I have put together a series of this silliness, annoying my traveling companions and creating ridiculous situations in front of famous monuments and landmarks.

The obsession

This project brings together my travelling passion along with my desperate need to finish anything I start.

What continuously haunts me is the fact that I started too late; meaning that I need to repeat 20 years of journeys in order to collect new photographic trophies. I guess we all have our obsessions, don't we?

Last seen dead in Chania

On Chania’s waterfront, an Ottoman mosque faces a lighthouse built on a Venetian base. Behind the harbour cafés, streets rise towards Kastelli, where the remains of ancient Kydonia still emerge beneath the inhabited city.
